EYFS Teaching Assistant

We are looking to recruit a teaching assistant to join our Early Years Team.  The position is permanent from January 1st 2020. The position is primarily for our Nursery Class but a willingness to work in other parts of the school should the need arise (ie numbers fall in Nursery) is essential. 

Details of the post:

  • Term time only 38 weeks (no holiday in term time) paid for 43.31 Weeks 
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7 hours per day 8am to 3.30pm with flexibility over the week for casual work (3 hours per week)
  • Half hour unpaid lunch break
  • Grade 4: points 4 – 5 £18,933 – £19,312 Pro Rate, £9.81 per hour 

Experience of working with young children, knowledge of Early Years Curriculum and a positive attitude are essential.

Madley Brook School, opened in 2003, is a unique school as it is co-located with Springfield Special School.  Both schools benefit from excellent facilities both inside and out and integration and inclusion are key aspects of our work.

We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working with children, is patient and understanding and will value all children.  The person appointed will need to be able to work well in a team, be adaptable, work under the direction of the teacher but will also be able to work on their own initiative.
