Dear Parents and Carers
Ten year three and four children took part in the Witney Partnership Under 9s Quad Kids competition on Tuesday. The children all took part in a standing long jump, a howler throw, a 50m sprint and a tough 400m run at the end. All children were positive and persevered throughout and their determination led to them coming 3rd place out of 12 schools. Well done to those who took part. A special congratulations to Seiya Colbridge who won bronze at the competition. What a fantastic achievement!
Year 6 SATs
Well done to Year 6 for completing their SATs this week. They have worked hard and got through the week with motivation and determination.
The clubs list is out for after half term activities. Please note they last for 6 weeks. Please return all slips to school by Tuesday at the latest.
Year 5/6 Play
Please note that the Year 5/6 end of year play will now take place on Thursday 19th July and not Tuesday as advertised in last week’s newsletter. Apologies for the confusion.
The Data Protection laws come into force next week and we have to inform you how we keep information about you and your child. The PTA have issued a letter and Privacy Notice today with the newsletter and their information can also be found on the school website. The school will be publishing it’s Data Protection Policy and Privacy notices early next week and they will be on our website. I will issue a Parent Mail email to let you know when they are out.
As part of this process we need to gain permission from you again about how we take and use photographs of your child. A new permissions form accompanies the newsletter and I would be grateful if you could return it to school next week.
Year 5 Kilvrough Sept 2018
Correspondence accompanies your child today about Kilvrough. Please read through the information and return to school as soon as possible.
Barrowers Gardening Group
There will be gardening at the school this Saturday morning 10 to 12. Please enter the school by the KS1 gate. We have a lot of things to do as we race to complete the fruit and vegetable garden. We would appreciate any help and you can bring children. If you have never helped before and can help out on just this occasion it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
River Learning Trust Peer Review
Next Thursday we will be having a Peer Review with the River Learning Trust. Two Support and Challenge Partners plus an independent consultant will visit classes to look at teaching and learning and talk to children about their work. Their findings will help us to form our School Development Plan for next year.
