Our Current Value is: Caring

Dear Parents and Carers

We currently have vacancies for two cleaners. Wendy Walton one of our cleaners will be leaving us at the end of this term.  We thank her for all she has contributed to our school and wish her well in her new ventures.  Application forms and details of the posts are on our website.

Bikeability

The first group of Year 6 children had Bikeability training this week and all achieved an excellent standard. The instructor commented on what a wonderful group they were and the ‘best‘ she had worked with in ages! Well done everyone and what great ambassadors for our school you are.

PTA AGM

The PTA held their AGM on Wednesday. Kelly Hale and Gayle Phillips stepped down as Chair and Vice-Chair respectively.  I would like to extend a huge thank you to them both for the work they have done over the last couple of years in their roles.  Jo Whawell will continue as Treasurer with Sue Phillips as Secretary.  Kath Walsh steps up to be Chair and Sharon Taylor the Vice- Chair.  Thank you to all who have contributed to the work of the PTA this year and raised valuable funds for the school.

Oxford Half Marathon Thanks

You may remember that Catherine Frampton, one of our Governors, ran the Oxford Half Marathon in aid of the school. I am delighted to say that with match funding from her company that she has raised a tremendous £1400 for the school that we are using to help fund the running track.  I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Catherine for raising this money for the school.

If you think your company is able to provide matched funding please do let me know or speak to a member of the PTA as it is a great way of fundraising.

Christmas Raffle

The PTA is running a Raffle this year with the prizes to be drawn at the Christmas Disco on 14th December.  Raffle Tickets have gone out this week with children.  We would like each class to produce a hamper as a prize and are offering a dress down day on Friday 7th December in return for a donation for a Christmas Hamper.
