Our Current Value is: Caring

Dear Parents and Carers

It is hard to believe that next week it will be December. Where has the time gone?

Children are beginning to make Christmas crafts for our Christmas Trees and learn songs for their Christmas Concerts. The post box will be up from next week so children can post their cards.  Please make sure that they have put the name and surname of the person they are writing to and the class name on the envelope.

Bronze Barrow Gardeners

Thank you so much to all the families who attended the gardening session on Sunday. Your help is very much appreciated.  I would like to thank Claire Smith and Helen Black for driving this project with great passion and enthusiasm.

PTA Colouring Competition

I am pleased to announce the winners are:

EYFS – Sophie Cantley

KS1 – Tristan Snook

LKS2 – Lia Brannan

UKS2 – Cameron Thompson

A selection box is on its way to each of them. Well done everyone.

Christmas Lunch

If you would like your child to have a Christmas lunch on Wednesday 19th December please send your forms back to school no later than next Friday.

Town Council Competition

Some of our children entered the annual Town Council Christmas competition and I am delighted to say that 2 of our pupils were winners. Daisy Hubert’s design has been made into a wonderful Christmas light:

Another pupil, who will remain nameless at the moment, will have their design made into the Mayor’s official Christmas Card. I will let you know next week who this is as it is going to be a surprise for the individual concerned but will be announced at the lights switch on event tonight.  It has been a great achievement for both these children.  Well done.

The Year 5 and 6 boys’ football team have finally finished all of their matches against other schools in the Witney partnership. They worked well as a team and they should be really proud of themselves. There was a mixture of games won and lost – they persevered throughout.

Well done to them all – Max Simpson, Harry Gray, Cameron Thompson, Alfie Norridge, Alfie Nicholson, George James, Jamie Brannon, James Bishop and Ned Phillips.

Key Stage 1

Children in Years 1 and 2 will be visiting the Care Home on Madley Park next Wednesday to deliver some Christmas cards and letters they have written and to sing some songs to the residents.

Choir Busking

Our choir will be busking in Witney town centre on Wednesday at approximately 1.30pm outside Waitrose. They will be raising money for their trip to the O2 in February.  Do pop along and support them if you can.

Non-Uniform Day

The PTA has sent a flyer out today explaining the Christmas Hampers for each class. We are inviting children to have a non-uniform day next Friday 7th December in exchange for a gift for the hamper.
