PTA Christmas Gift Shop
All children will have brought home a flyer this week advertising the PTA run gift shop in school next week. The PTA have been busy buying lots of lovely gifts for children to purchase to help create a special Christmas surprise for parents. Children will be wrapping presents themselves and writing labels. We hope you will be able to support it.

Children may buy a maximum of 2 gifts for family members at a cost of £2 each. If your child is bringing money into school please ensure that it is placed in a named purse or envelope and handed to the teacher at the start of the school day for safe keeping. If you have more than one child at the school and you only want one child to do the shopping on behalf of his or her siblings please make this clear to the teacher.

Children will be shopping on the following days:
Monday Wednesday
Ash Nursery
Elder Maple
Willow Elm
Oak Cherry Tree
Lime Birch
Pine Beech

Christmas Post Box
The post box is up at school for children to send Christmas Cards to each other. Please make sure that the child’s first and last name and class name are written on the envelopes.

Christmas Jumper Days
We will be supporting the NSPCC national Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 15th December and children may come to school in a Christmas jumper for a small donation.

Children may also wear their jumpers and/ or festive headwear for our Christmas lunch on Monday 18th December (no donation).

Nursery on Tuesday 19th December
As we will be finishing school at 1.00pm on Tuesday 19th December Nursery times will be:

Morning children: 8.30am – 10.30am
Afternoon children: 11.00 am – 1.00pm

Car Park
May I please remind parents that the school car park is not to be used for dropping off in the morning or picking up in the afternoon. The car park is for staff cars and Springfield taxis/minibuses only. I would be grateful if parents could also pass this information onto other people who may transport your children to and from school particularly grandparents. Thank you for your co-operation.

Lunchtime Supervisors
We have two vacancies for daily lunchtime supervisors for one hour a day between 12.00pm and 1.00pm. We are also looking for anyone who would be willing to register as a casual worker who can be called upon when we are short staffed. Springfield School secondary site are also looking for lunchtime supervisors between 1.00pm and 2.00pm. If anyone is interested in either job please contact the school office.
The Barrowers
Friday 15 December 8.40 to 10.15 (meet at the front of the school) and Saturday 16 December 10 to 12 (enter main gate and walk through to the sensory garden) are the times that the Barrowers will be working in the gardens again. Please help us to build our dream and be part of this exciting project to provide all the children of Springfield and Madley Brook Schools a super space to learn, discover and grow. Just one hour of your time could make such a difference. Some tools are provided and refreshments are available. Hope to see you there!
