Dear Parents and Carers

Thank you for your patience and understanding with school closures this week. Making the decision to close the school is a very difficult one. It’s hard enough when you wake up to snow but is even more difficult when you make it based on a forecast and the risk of children and staff being stranded at school. The safety of the grounds is our first priority together with the ability to have enough staff in to run the school safely. Let’s hope this is the last of the snow for this winter.

Church Visits
Weather permitting Year 5 are visiting the Methodist Church next week for the Easter Experience. Year 5 Elm will go on Tuesday morning and Year 5 Pine on Wednesday morning. Children will be back for lunch but they will need a warm coat etc, for the walk there and back.

Den Building
Many thanks for your kind contributions of sheets for den building. We now have plenty for the children to play with. However, we are still looking for plastic pipes and wooden poles, 1 to 2m long and some concrete. If anyone has any pipes, poles or concrete please could you hand it into our school office. Thank you for your kind support.

Kitchen Vacancy
There is a vacancy for support in the kitchen serving our school meals for 10 hours a week (11.15am to 1.15pm daily) term time only. Interested applicants should contact Nick White at Oxfordshire County Council on 07586 479001 for further details.

And Finally…
We wish Mrs Lenny Adziman, one of our lunchtime supervisors, the very best of wishes as she leaves on Monday for her maternity. We look forward to hearing her news in due course.

Have a great weekend.

Yours sincerely
