Dear Parents, Carers and Governors
This has been a truly memorable week at school. The children have enjoyed a vast range of activities based around creative arts culminating in what promises to be a couple of fantastic concerts this afternoon in the hall. I do hope they have come home each day telling you about the work they have been doing. The art work they have produced has been to a high standard and we look forward to sharing this with parents on the afternoon of 6th March between 3.00pm and 4.00pm where we hope you will join us for an open afternoon and tour around both Madley Brook and Springfield classes. My thanks go to the committee from both schools, led by Mrs Bradbury, who have worked tirelessly to arrange all the different groups and activities this week.
Our consultation for academy status closes today. The minutes from the consultation meeting are now available on the website under the Governors page. We will shortly be posting a response to the questions that have been raised during the process.
Red Nose Day
Red Nose Day this year is on Friday 24th March. Children may come to school wearing anything red for a donation to the charity. Time will be given over in the classroom for them to ‘share a joke / make someone laugh’ alongside the theme of this year’s fund raiser.
There is a new menu out next week which can be found on our website. Salmon nuggets on Friday of week three are NOT available.
Many thanks for your donations to our recent Number Day. We raised £322.70 which we will be sending to the NSPCC.
We are looking to move over to an electronic system where parents can pay for things like school lunch, clubs trips etc. via a secure on line system. We would like to gauge whether this would be of interest to parents before investing as we would need the majority of parents to sign up. Please can you complete this short survey to let us know your views:
Here is a report from our netball team following Monday’s match:
