Dear Parents, Carers and Governors

I am delighted to announce the birth of Mrs Emily Isle’s baby boy who safely entered the world this week weighing 7lbs 7oz. Both mum and baby are doing well and we eagerly await his name! I am sure you will wish to join me in congratulating Mrs Isle and her husband on their wonderful news.

Comic Relief
Thank you for your donations last week for Red Nose Day. We raised £402.99 for this charity.

Missing Bike
A bike belonging to one of our pupils went missing from the bike rack at the back of the school by the Co-op on Wednesday this week. The pupil had stayed for an after school club and it wasn’t discovered until 4.00pm. The back gate had been open from around 2.45pm until 3.30pm approximately and so there was opportunity for anyone to enter the school premises. The bike is a 26” frame Raleigh Bronx Blue with white writing. If you know of the whereabouts of this bike please do let us know.

In terms of security of our site I would recommend that bikes are locked when stored in the bike racks as they are next to the school gates that are not locked until 9am and opened again at 2.45pm during which times the areas are unsupervised.

After School Club
Little Treasures are not ready to take over the running of our after school club which they had hoped to do after the Easter holiday. Their Ofsted registration is taking longer than expected and they hope to be able to start the club after the May holiday. In the meantime we will continue to run our interim club from 3.00pm to 5.00pm daily.

Attached to the newsletter is the clubs list for the first half of the Summer Term. Please note that if your child is going on the Lower Key Stage 2 trip to Grendon Hall and they are allocated a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday club please reduce the payment accordingly. I would be grateful if you could just write ‘Grendon’ on your payment slip so our admin team know why the payment is less. Also, there is a two week reimbursement due from Ms Mothersill’s Baking Club. Again please adjust your payments accordingly if your child has a club this term. If not then the office will offer you a refund.

MP Visit
Next Tuesday we are having a visit from our local MP Robert Courts. He wrote to us a few weeks ago requesting a visit as he wants to get to know the local schools and we look forward to welcoming him to our school.

Next Friday
Children may have a non-uniform day on Friday in return for an Easter Egg for our Easter Tombola which will be held after school on Friday in the hall. Please enter the hall via the back door. Second hand uniform will also be for sale at the tombola.
