Dear Parents and Carers
It was lovely to see Years 3 and 4 return from their residential trip yesterday. They had a fantastic time at the Wilderness Centre and most even slept although I think the longer hours of daylight meant late nights and rather early mornings for the campers! Thank you to all the staff who took the children and provided such memorable experiences for them.
Well done to all the children in Year 6 for working so hard this week. I think some of them actually enjoyed the tests! We are still working on writing which will be teacher assessed by the end of June. They have lots of exciting activities planned for the end of term starting today with their cinema trip.
We have had to change the date of the choir concert to Thursday 27th June. We didn’t have as many musicians come forward as hoped so the choir are increasing their repertoire and need a little longer to rehearse.
The list of Clubs for the second half of the summer term has come home today. Please return slips to school by Tuesday.
Dress Down Day
Next Friday we will be holding a dress down day to raise money for Madley Park Activate.
The gardening area is taking shape and it won’t be long before we can start planting. In the meantime, materials such as the paving slabs have been stacked up near the back entrance to the school. Please do not allow children to play near these at drop off and pick up time. They are very dangerous. Thank you for your cooperation.
Thank you to Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 parents for supporting our census day school lunches. It was great to see children who don’t normally have a school lunch take part. We managed an 89% take up which is really helpful.
