Dear Parents and Carers
Key Stage 1 children had a very exciting morning on Monday when the Exploredome came to school. They explored the wonders of the solar system and found out lots of interesting facts.
The PTA have once again organised some Christmas Cards and small gifts individually designed by each child. Your child has brought their art work and order form home today. This year parents are asked to order and pay on line and you can make as many different orders with the same unique code for each child. Orders must be made by Thursday 11th October and you will need to return your child’s art work and order from to school by Friday 12th October at the latest. I appreciate this is a tight turn around but they will guarantee to have cards and gifts returned to us by 1st December.
Your child has brought home a data sheet printed from our Management Information System that contains emergency contact details for your child. Please make sure that we have at least 3 named people that we can contact in the case of an emergency and check that all the details are up to date. Please return all sheets, even if there are no changes, so we can ensure that your details are up to date.
On Wednesday 10th October, we will be holding the Scholastic Book Fair in the hall after school. This is an ideal opportunity to have access to and the chance to purchase a wide range of new and exciting books for your child.
The fair will be held from 3pm until around 4pm. By supporting the book fair, it also enables Madley Brook to purchase quality texts for your child’s class.
The book fair will be held every day after school until Monday 15th October.
Hope to see you there!
We have 109 members signed up to the 100 Club for the next few months. Prizes will be as follows:
1st Prize £53
2nd Prize £33
3rd Prize £23
There remains a vacancy for Parent Governor. If you are interested then please do get in touch and I can explain the role and the commitment required.

The children are ready to run their final mile on Sunday following the training they have been doing after school this term. We wish them all the very best, as well as Catherine Frampton one of our governors who is running to raise money for our school. Thanks to the staff who have been training them, Mrs Robinson, Miss Jenkins and Ms Batchelor.
