Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back to the second half of this very busy term.

You will notice that we have had a new running track on the main field. This is to support our ‘Daily Mile’ for children in Key Stage 2 who start the day three times a week with some energetic running.  The Daily Mile has proved to support children’s physical fitness as well as levels of concentration in class across the country and now we have a proper running track we hope to reap the same benefits.

Hockey

On Wednesday eight Year 5 and 6 children took part in a hockey tournament. Despite some tough matches they were all extremely positive and their team work was commendable. Well done to those who took part.

Pick Up Time

This is a plea for parents and carers to be prompt to pick up at 3pm. I appreciate some people have more than one child to pick up and it is impossible to pick both up at 3pm.  Nursery and Reception Classes will have your children ready for 3pm, or a couple of minutes before this, to enable you to pick children up from different parts of the school after.  Many teachers run clubs or after school teaching groups and it makes it difficult to start these when children are still waiting to be picked up at 3.10pm.  Thank you for your understanding.

Story Telling Club

Please note that this club for Reception children finishes at 3.45pm and not 4pm like the other clubs.
