Curriculum Intent

At Madley Brook School, our curriculum is designed to inspire enthusiasm for learning, instil curiosity and support pupil well-being and happiness.

 

We provide first hand learning experiences that are ambitious and allow children to develop confidence and build resilience. Our cross-curricular approach enables our children to make meaningful links with their learning.

 

We celebrate our own identity through the unique experiences that our curriculum provides. It is carefully planned with sequenced learning opportunities that develop children’s knowledge and skills in preparation for the next stage of their education and as citizens within our community and beyond. Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.

 

Our curriculum enables us to build strong relationships, celebrate diversity, encourage respect and build a sense of community. It provides and acknowledges success for all children, in all aspects of their development and it recognises, encourages and celebrates all types of talent.

 

Our curriculum is enhanced by our commitment to Values-based Education (including British Values) and, through this, we provide learning experiences which promote confident, self-motivated pupils, eager for lifelong learning.
